Howard Vernon Moody, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on Feb. 15, 2017. He was born March 15, 1943, in Corydon, Ky. Howard graduated from Douglas High School in Henderson, Ky., in 1963. He went on to work for Camp Breckenridge Job Corps Center in Morganfield, Ky., and later at Bemis Polyethylene Packaging Division in Terre Haute. He was a member and a deacon of the Church of God in Christ.
Howard was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Powell; father, Henry Moody; maternal grandmother, Eliza Powell; and sister, Patricia Ann Petrie.
He is survived by his wife, Mary C. Moody of Terre Haute, Ind.; sons, Christopher Bryce, Aaron Gabriel (Elizabeth), Howard Joshua, Sean David (Ashley) and Kyle Joseph Moody, all of Terre Haute, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; brother, Glenn (Sharon Rose) Oates of Henderson, Ky.; and brother-in-law, Elder Tommy (Linda) Moore.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at Saints Home Church of God in Christ, 2210 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, Ind. The family will greet visitors from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Arrangements by Indiana Funeral Care.
