Gregory Lee Sturgeon, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, at 9:06 p.m., in Union Hospital. He was a general manager for Pepsi Cola in Terre Haute and Decatur, Ill., and was also a Farmers Insurance agent. Greg was born March 15, 1932, in La Junta, Colo., to Archie W. Sturgeon and Nellie Marie McManis.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Linda (Cox) Sturgeon; daughter, Elizabeth Cronkhite; son, Gordon D. Sturgeon; grandchildren, Jeffrey Sturgeon, Ryan Sturgeon, Christina Bixler (Issac), Jonhathan Terneus, Benjamin McEwan and Melody Long; great-grandchildren, Christopher Bixler, Braxton Bixler and Oliver Bixler; sister, Ramona Belleu (Kenny); brother, Gordon Sturgeon (Connie); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Reva Sturgeon. Greg was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and the American Legion.
Visitation is 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with funeral services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Walter Huyck Jr. officiating.
