Gerald D. "Moose" Waldon, 75, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 12:27 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He retired as a chemical operator from Eli Lilly after many years of service. He was born Feb. 5, 1942, in Terre Haute, to Marion B. Waldon and Myrta Elizabeth Stark Waldon.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Violet Ann Jeffers Waldon; two sons, Gerald Waldon and his companion Georgetta Favre and Gary Waldon, all of West Terre Haute; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and James Conley of West Terre Haute; two sisters, Pat Wolf and her husband Lee and Nellie Mae Owens; two grandchildren, James Edward Conley III and Katelan Ann Conley; and special friends, Michael and Cheryl Webster.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kaleb Waldon Conley; his parents; five brothers, Seth, Clarence, Leonard, Roy and Jim; and three sisters, Norma, Mary and Carolyn.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hunting mushrooms and he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Roush officiating. Burial will be in Barnhart Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
