Frances Alice Fields, 88, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully May 5, 2017, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Vigo County, to Harry and Myrtle Curtis.
Frances worked at Quaker Maid until its closing and Columbia House until she retired.
She married the love of her life, Delbert E. Fields, on June 26, 1946, and they had two daughters, Debby S. VanHorn and her husband Don of Terre Haute and Jami Hensel and her husband Chris of Carmel.
Frances is survived by her husband and daughters; her granddaughter, Morgan Bailey Fields of Phoenix; her brother-in-law, Terry A. Fields; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Ralph and Mable Fields; and her son-in-law, Chris Hensel; her sister, Jean Allio; and her brothers, Harry Curtis, Walter Curtis and Bob Curtis.
In honor of Frances' wishes, cremation has been chosen with no services. Her family wants everyone to remember Frances as the great wife, mother, grandmother and sister that she was. She had a great personality, loved to laugh and to make others laugh. The laughter usually had something to do with some of the crazy antics and situations that she got either herself, or others, into. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 East Springhill Drive, Terre Haute, was entrusted with care and arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
