Eunice Irene Wasson, 77, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Springhill Village. She was born Aug. 14, 1940, in Bowling Green, Ky., to Kirby Johnson and Mildred Cowles Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Wasson, whom she married March 30, 1963, in Bowling Green Ky.; one daughter, Amy Henderson (Scott); one son, Kevin Wasson (Molly); six grandchildren, Craig Wasson, Cody Wasson, Ashton Henderson, Peyton Henderson, Nikki Wasson and Mark Wasson; two brothers, James E. Johnson (Martha) and Kirby M. Johnson (Lou Ellen), both of Bowling Green, Ky.; and many nieces and nephews; and her best friend from high school, Barbara Rigsby of Bowling Green, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirby and Mildred Johnson; two brothers, Carlos Johnson and Randel Johnson; and one sister-in-law, Lana Johnson, all of Bowling Green, Ky.
She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ for over 40 years. Eunice was a teacher's assistant at DeVaney Elementary School for 27 years. She loved working with the children at her job. She loved flowers and working in her yard. Her family was her world. Eunice loved spending time with her grandkids.
Visitation for Eunice will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at DeBaun Funeral HomesSpringhill Chapel, with services starting at 1 p.m. Burial at Mount Pleasant will follow. Matt Carver will be officiating. Online condolences may be left at:
