Dorothy Louise Felling, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Feb. 1, 2017. She was born June 15, 1923, to Porter and Clara Hill.
Dorothy was an amazing and beautiful daughter, wife and mother. She was a talented, professional skater/dancer and beauty queen for much of her life. She was owner and operator of Fenwood Beauty Shop for more than 20 years. She was also an avid golfer during later years winning many tournaments.
Dorothy was married to Bernie Dardeen, who was a train master for Penn/Central Railroad for 28 years. She later married Glen Felling, wreck master for Penn/Central and Con Rail, until his death in 2012. They were married for 30 years.
She was the epitome of elegance, fashion, home design and loved to bake her entire life. She made/making everything around her beautiful.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara and Porter Hill; and brothers, Robert and Clarence Hill.
Mrs. Felling is survived by her only daughter, Cindy Dardeen DeFries; son-in-law, Robert Goodman; stepdaughter, Glenna Rogers of Atlanta; nieces, Connie May of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Ashley Quakenbush and Cheryl Bunner; nephews, Nick and Dane May of Manhattan, N.Y.; granddaughters, Amy and Angel Mattimore of Jackson, Fla., and Shannon DeFries of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2017, at 787 E. Bunkerhill Drive, Colonial Park South, in Terre Haute. Casual poolside dress. Greiner Funeral Home assisted.
