Donna Ruth Moore, 83, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord at 6:26 p.m. Feb. 24, 2018, at Burnsides Community Health Center in Marshall. She was born July 13, 1934, in Fayette County, Ill., to Roy Crawford and Marie (Albright) Crawford.
Donna operated People's Cleaners in Terre Haute and later did alterations from her home. She retired from Roots Department Store, where she had worked in men's alterations.
Donna is survived by one son, Charles (Diane) Moore of Marshall; one daughter, Bev (Chris) Owen of West Union, Ill.; grandchildren, Scott (Amy) Moore of Fort White, Fla., Brad Moore of Terre Haute, Christy (Scott) Miller of Charleston, Ill., Jaime (Jeffrey) Richey of Marshall, and Eric Owen of West Union; her five great-grandchildren, Bobby Miller, Jessica Richey, Crystal Richey, Joey Richey and Mia Moore; sister, Ilene Lawson; brother, Gary Crawford; several nieces and nephews; and a special son and daughter, Tommy and Diane Green.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harold Moore, who died Feb. 14, 2017; her parents; daughter, Barbara Moore; brother, Vern Crawford; and nephew, Kent Crawford.
Donna loved cooking big meals for her family at her home on Wonder Lake, and she loved to sit on the front porch and watch her grandchildren play in the lake. She loved collecting antique dishes and sewing any type of clothing she could get her hands on.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Rod Maris officiating. Burial will follow in Farmersburg Westlawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at: www.debaunfuneralhomes.com
