Donetta Mae Lark Porter, 65, of West Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, in her home. She was born April 7, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Donald Lark Sr. and Mercedes "Skeet" White Lark.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Porter, on Feb. 25, 1998.
She is survived by two sons, Jack McPike and his wife Vicki and Craig McPike and his wife Christie; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Harper and her husband Mike; a stepdaughter, Angela Bookout and her husband Tom; four grandchildren Jordan McPike, Craig McPike Jr., Zack McPike, whom is an E2 in the U.S. Army, and Tyler McPike; two sisters, Mickey Froschauer and Billie Jo Lark Lane; a brother, Donnie Lark Jr. and his wife Carrie; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Payton.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Shane Ray McPike; her parents; and a brother, Jake Long.
Her greatest joy was being a grandma. She always ended phone conversations with the grandchildren and family members with "love you, miss you, mean it". She also enjoyed working in her yard and flower gardens, krafting, and designing floral arrangements.
Funeral services for Donetta will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Vigo/ Black Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday.The family suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available in the funeral home.
