Donald Ray Powers Donald R. Powers, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away Dec. 21, 2018, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1946, to Fred Powers and Rose (Brock) Powers.
He was preceded in death by both parents; son, Donnie Powers; brothers, Leo Powers and Tom Powers; sister, Frieda Hojem; and his grandchild, Dustin.
Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna; son, Kerry Powers (Becky); daughters, Marilyn Fagg (Jerry) and Dawn Shroyer (Kirk); daughter-in-law, Michele; brother, Jim Powers; grandchildren, JT, Judy, Chris, Chelsie, Austin, Fred, Brandon, Christian, Hannah and Erika; 16 great-grandchildren with one on their way; several nieces and nephews; as well as his special friend, Rob Patterson.
Don belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He owned and operated Powers Trucking for many years. Don loved his semis. He loved going to Denny's as well as Pat's Café. Don enjoyed going to casinos and playing the penny slots. More than anything Don loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Don received dialysis treatment at Fresenius Kidney Care of Vigo County for seven years. Don was certainly never a quitter.
Visitation for Don will be at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. with services on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. Burial at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn will follow. Tom Norris and Terry Whitlock will be officiating. Online condolences may be left at:

So sorry to hear about Big D's passing. He was always friendly. He and Little D are most likely having a wonderful reunion.
