Donald Lee McCoskey, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at Union Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 26, 1937, in Vigo County, to George Douglass McCoskey and Edith Doris (Graham) Leach.
Donald is survived by his wife of 37 years, Teresa (Loveall) McCoskey: four children, Stephen McCoskey of Florida, Terri Hohenstein of Tennessee, Robert Halstead of Indiana and Sara McCoskey of Texas; five grandchildren, Desiree Hohenstein, Bridget Hall, Christopher Halstead, Zachariah McCoskey and Shane McCoskey; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hall, Bryce Hall, Kensley Hall and Emelia Pillow; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Donald proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He attended Ivy Tech for two years. Donald retired from JI Case, where he worked as a welder. He was a member of the Joseph A. Bray Marine Corps League Detachment 471, Lawton Byrum Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972, American Legion Krietenstein Post 104 and the Northside Wesleyan Church. Most of all, Donald loved to spend time with his family.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, with Pastor Eddie Hayes officiating.
