Dexter L. Stone, 77, of Clinton, died at 2:10 a.m. Oct. 27, 2017, in Clinton Gardens. He was born May 3, 1940, in Kennebunk Port, Maine, to Robert Stone and Marie Fisher Stone.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a former Hillcrest Community Center board member, where he was deeply involved in the Thanksgiving meal served. He loved fishing, golfing, and was an avid Cubs and Colts fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bob L. Stone; and two sisters, Judy Stone and Linda Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Curl Stone; two daughters, Kellie and Bobby Baugh of Evansville and Mindy and Chris Whitlock of Terre Haute; six grandchildren, Hillary and Charlie Risley, Trenton and Adrienne Stone, Ethan Shorter, Megan Whitlock, Christopher Whitlock, and Abbigail Whitlock; four stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, CJ Risley, Korben Risley and Trace Risley.
