Dennis Lee Rush, 83, of Terre Haute, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute. He was a metal fabricator employed by Twigg Corporation in Martinsville, J.I. Case in Terre Haute, Newport Army Ammunition Plant until it closed, Otis Elevator, Bloomington and Indiana Department of Correction. He was born June 8, 1934, in Clinton, to the late Louis Rush and Inez Boren Rush.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Kathleen McGrannahan Rush, whom he married July 21, 1956; also surviving two sons, Frank (Duree) Rush of Terre Haute and Nick (Miranda) Rush of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Nick Rush, Jr. and Allie McKinney.
He was a graduate of Clinton High School. He served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Belleville Masonic lodge 65 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute. He was an avid gun collector.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., Rosedale, with Belleville Masonic Lodge and Pastor Dennis Holley officiating. Burial with military graveside honors will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation is from 12 noon until time of service Saturday.
