Debbie Lynn Corby, 54, of Brazil, passed away while living at Meadows Manor East, in Terre Haute, on Dec. 5, 2017. She was born Aug. 28, 1963, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Calvin and Hilda (Steele) Corby.
She graduated from Terre Haute South in 1983. Debbie loved bowling, singing karaoke and going to Disney World. She had participated in the Special Olympics and Happiness Bag. She also enjoyed listening to old country music and enjoyed attending the concerts at Boot City Opry and was a big fan of Elvis. Debbie loved her friends at DSI, CARS and Happiness Bag.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Hilda Corby; and a brother, William Robert "Bobby" Corby.
Debbie is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Calvin "Gene" and Juanita "Tootie" Corby; her niece, Shasta Vinzant and husband Zachary of Terre Haute; cousins, Arlene and Brad Bryan, Ricky Hogue and Roy Hogue; as well as many extended family members and friends. She always had a special place in her heart for her "bowling coach" Jodi Moan.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. To share a memory with her family, visit:
