David Edward Walker, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 21, 1953, to Clarence Edward Walker and Ruth E. Mayfield Walker, in Terre Haute.
David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church for 34 years. He retired from Indiana American Water, after working over 20 years. He also worked for Commercial Solvents Corporation for 17 years. He was a member of the Hoosier Big Country Society Bass Fishing Club. David loved being outdoors; camping, fishing, and being outdoors were his favorite activities. David was a guardian angel to everyone he met. He always was looking out for his family. If you ever needed any kind of help, David was always there to lend a hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Richard and Thomas Copeland.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Melissa Collins Walker; a son, Brian Walker and his wife Misty; a daughter, Nicole Walker and her significant other Carl Large Jr.; sisters, Marlene D' Angelo, Cheryl McCullough and her husband Jim, Rita Marceau, Nancy Whitehead and her husband Junior, Janet Walker and Helen Walker; grandchildren, C.J. Large, Troy Large, Cody Large, Kaylynn Large, Bastian Walker, Eli Large, Wyatt Large, Jase Walker, and Laina Walker; also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until mass. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
