Danny Lee Shepard, 64, of Terre Haute, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, at his daughter's home. He retired from International Paper after many years of service. Danny was a volunteer fireman for the Clinton Fire Department. He was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Harold Shepard and and Martha Wrightsman Shepard.
Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Shepard and her fiancé Kim Booe of Sanford; two stepsons, Brian Duchene and his wife Julia of Clinton and Tony Duchene of Indianapolis; stepgranddaughter, Alexis Duchene; two stepgrandchildren, Addison and Danielle Booe, a sister, Diane Martin of Rockville; lifelong friends, Bert and Troy Wallace of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
Danny was an avid fan of sprint car racing and enjoyed going to the races at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnumville. Steve Kinzer was his favorite sprint car driver. He also enjoyed watching the Redwings play Hockey.
By honoring Danny's wishes cremation was chosen. A private burial of his ashes will be held at a later date.
