Claude R. Lemay, of Marshall, Ill., passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital with his wife Karen by his side. He was born in Sandford, to Ira and Sylvia Barrows Lemay, on March 25, 1936, the youngest of 11 children.
Claude was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone who knew him. Claude was a 45-year member of Local 157 and a member of the Young Men's Club. After Claude retired he built and remodeled several homes in Marshall and Terre Haute.
Claude is survived by his wife, Karen Lemay; a daughter, Cathy Jabe' and her husband Phil of Fishers; two sons, Bill Lemay and wife Michell of Cicero, and Mike Lemay of Indianapolis; two stepsons, John Goodman and wife Angie of Wooster, Ohio and Curtis Goodman and his wife Amanda of Marshall; grandchildren, Ashley Hawkins (Adam) of Georgia, Lindsey Mitchell (Tristan) of Jamestown, Ind., Dylan Goodman of Marshall, Craig Goodman (Sara), Harrison, Elijah, Isaac and Maxwell Goodman, all of Wooster, Jasmine, Marsadeas, Harley, and Morgan Goodman, all of Marshall, and Pam McKinney of Terre Haute.
Claude was preceded in death by his parents; and 10 sisters and brothers. In honoring Claude's wishes, cremation has been chosen with no visitation or services. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Bethesda Cemetery.
