Carrie M. Vietti, 91, of Clinton, died peacefully in her sleep at 12:30 a.m. March 19, 2018, in Terre Haute. She was born April 28, 1926, in Montezuma.
She was a retired hairdresser for over 67 years, owning her own shop for several years and then working at several other salons through her career. She was a member of Clinton One Half Century Club, Clinton Eagles, and a bowling league at Lucky Strike in Clinton
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Vietti; second husband, Mike Vietti; four sisters, Mary Brown, Louise Divan, Phoebe Ark and Pauline Smock; and one brother, Don Smock.
Survivors include one son, Jeff Vietti and his wife Janice of Rockville; one daughter, Joetta Lawrence and her husband Lee of Indianapolis; two grandsons, Jim Marietta and his wife Sara of Dayton, Ohio and John Marietta and his wife Ann Marie of Mason, Ohio; three great-grandsons, Domenica, Peter and Nico Marietta; one brother-in-law, Charlie Ark of Clinton; nieces, Marilyn Young and Kathy Johnson; and nephews, Leon Brown, John Smock and Terry Hewlitt.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Giovanini Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be left at:
