Carrie Rachael Neff Stewart, 47, of Terre Haute, passed away at Union Hospital, surrounded by family after fighting a long and courageous battle with leukemia on Dec. 27, 2017. She was born in Terre Haute, on May 8, 1970, to David Neff and Luanne Myers Neff Swanson.
Carrie graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She loved being in and around the water and most of all loved playing with her boys. Carrie also enjoyed spending her time doing arts and crafts, especially painting. She hosted the Fox Kid's Club television show in the late 90's.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles Myers, James Neff, and Gertrude Neff; and her father-in-law, James Stewart.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Stewart; two sons, Kasey Stewart and Kyle Neff; her father, David Neff and his wife Becky; mother, Luanne Swanson and her husband Bob; mother-in-law, Becky Stewart; brother, James David Neff and his significant other Sharron Shaw; grandmother, Rosemary Myers; step-siblings Brea Hester, Toni Haskell and her husband Steve, Ty Hester, Gregg Broyles and Tricia May; sisters-in-law, Sharon Taylor, Catherine Scott and Amanda Heincer; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation for Carrie will be held at DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, from 4 until 8 p.m. with services being held Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at 1 p.m. Burial at Mount Pleasant will follow. Pastor Rick Swan will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to Terre Haute Humane Society.
