Carol Kay (Smith) Henderson


Carol Kay (Smith) Henderson, 66, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018. She was born Jan. 7, 1952, in Terre Haute, to Frank Smith and Marguerite [Myles] Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters including her twin, Cheryl Walker, Mae Long and Jeanette Auterson; and seven brothers, Roy Lynch, Chuck Lynch, Ronnie Lynch, Jack Smith, Paul Smith, Frank Smith and Harley Smith.
Carol is survived by her husband, Keith L. Henderson; her daughters, Sheila Boatman (Gary), Amy Good (Rodney) and Kimberly Albert (Brian); her son, Kevin Ferran (Dana); 13 grandchildren, Curtis Wilson, Joshua Boatman, Logan Jones, Nathan Jones, Austin Jones, Kaleb Ferran, Kinley Ferran, Jenna Nicholas, Shayla Albert, Kaylee Albert, Brian Albert, JR., Devin Matherly, and Taylor Albert; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve Lynch (Karen), Raymond Smith; one sister, Janet Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972 Ladies Auxiliary and a former EMT in West Terre Haute. Carol was a former resident of the Glenn Home and enjoyed the annual get-togethers with all the friends she made while there. She also enjoyed making quilts and loved to bake. One of her specialties was making wedding cakes. She also loved to run around and take short trips with Bernie! Carol enjoyed her grandchildren and truly loved her family.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Shawn Bunch officiating. Carol will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Southern Care Hospice, 4624 S. Springhill Jct. Street, Terre Haute, IN 47802
