Brenda G. West Brenda G. West, 58, of Cory, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Dec. 21, 2018, following a brief battle with cancer. She was born March 1, 1960, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Jerry and Peggy (Sears) Demaree.
Brenda graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1978. She had been working for Baesler's Market for the past several years. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Peggy Demaree; a son, Joshua Ray West; and a sister, Cindy Stantz.
Brenda leaves behind her husband, Everett Wayne West, whom she married on March 12, 1978; two daughters, Jamie Raulston and husband Shilo of Centerpoint and Haleigh Withrow and husband Kyle of Lewis; grandchildren, Evee Raulston, Hadee Raulston, Tilee Raulston, and Konner Withrow; siblings, Jerry Demaree, Shari Nicoson, Regina Dickison, Joe Demaree, and Bill Demaree; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. To light a candle in her memory, visit:

I knew Brenda from Baesler's, I always looked forward to seeing her. She was such a sweet person. God has another angel in heaven. Prayers for her family.

I keep hearing people say, "She always had a smile. She was always pleasant." I have been blest by the people she brought into my life--Wayne--their children and even a bit by grandchildren. I think we will keep on being blest.
