Beverly "Bev" Sue Chaney, 50, joined her Heavenly Father on the morning of Feb. 22, 2017.
Her legacy is survived by her husband, Timothy Edmond Chaney; her sons and their partners, Eric Shawn Moss Vanatti with Sean Tyler Lamar, and Neil Edward Merl Vanatti with Alexandria "Alex" Lee-Ann Allen; her daughter, Krista Lynn Helen Mildred Vanatti; her mother, Dorothy Helen Kidwell Vanatti; her sisters, Kimberly Vanatti Reel and Angela Vanatti; and her nephews, Terry Shane Vanatti, Boe Jeffrey Vanatti, and Brock Christopher Vanatti.
She was predeceased in death by her father, Merlyn Moss Vanatti (Jan. 20, 1999); her older brother, Terry Matthew Vanatti (March 21, 2004); and her brother-in-law, Joey Steven Reel (Dec. 27, 2016).
Born and raised in Brazil, on Dec. 20, 1966, Beverly was the youngest child and daughter of Merlyn, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, and Dorothy. Beverly graduated from Brazil High School, with the class of 1985, and was a notable member of the infamous "Pink Dragons." In 1991, Beverly married her first husband and lifelong friend, Shawn Eric Morlan, after mothering Eric, Neil, and Krista. Through all their successes and achievements, Beverly's three beautiful children continued to be her pride and joy until the end of her happy and content life. In 2013, Beverly remarried her second husband, Timothy—a devoted and affectionate marriage that lasted until her final days.
Beverly was a devout Christian woman, who not only preached the Lord's Grace but also lived her life in accordance to His Will. She lived her life with authenticity and honesty, seeking adventure in every experience she encountered. Beverly effortlessly and selflessly sacrificed for others, seeing the remarkable beauty in all the lives she touched. Her compassion and generosity will truly be missed by all her family and friends. Beverly will always and forever be remembered as a nurturing mother and loyal wife; a loving daughter and a caring sister; a supportive friend and a fervent advocate; and a strong fighter and reverent believer.
Beverly's family and friends will honor her memory on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 East National Avenue, Brazil, from 4 until 8 p.m. A brief funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at the funeral chapel, before Beverly is laid to her peaceful rest at Bee Ridge Cemetery at 10100 North Kennedys Crossing Road, Brazil. A bereavement luncheon will follow at the Moose Lodge, 225 South Depot Street, Brazil, around 12:30 p.m.
