Text size

On Feb. 20, 2018, our loving angel, Barbara Ann Weaver Yontz, received her wings as she transitioned this life to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:32 p.m. at her home with her nephew, Craig (Becky) Weaver, at her side along with her fur baby, Socks, whom she adored and loved.
Barbara was born Feb. 13, 1932, the daughter and youngest of three in Marshall, Ill., to Floyd and Dorothy Martin Weaver. She married Warren Chapman Yontz on Sept. 28, 1968, in Terre Haute, Ind., and he survives.
Barbara worked for Indiana Bell retiring after 33 ½ years of employment in 1990.
Also surviving are nine nieces and nephews; several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; and long time friends, Wayne and Paul Bower, who she thought of as family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Robert (Bob) Weaver and James (Jim) Weaver.
She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Services in honor of her life will be 2 p.m. CST Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home, Marshall. She will reach her final resting place next to her parents in Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time. Online condolences are being accepted at: pearcefuneralservices.com.
