Anna Ruth Siebenmorgen Cochrane, 94, of Terre Haute passed away Tuesday morning, October 24, 2017 in Southwood Healthcare Center. She had worked at Terre Haute Carpet Cleaning and Rug Company. Anna was born July 10, 1923 in Terre Haute to Ed Meeker and Elizabeth Goda Meeker.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Robert Siebenmorgen and William Kehrt Cochrane.
Survivors include a brother-in-law, Al Siebenmorgen of Terre Haute; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Miller of Winston Salem, NC; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Rex and Betty Fields and Iris Burch. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Cavolt; and her brother, Bud Meeker.
Anna was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and served in the United States Navy (WAVES) during World War II. She was member of St. Mark United Church of Christ, was very active with ceramics, gardening and flowers and was an animal lover, especially of her cats and all pets.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 27, 2017 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street, with Reverend Teresa Higus officiating. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Visitation is scheduled prior to services on Friday from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
