Agnes's Story

Agnes "Babe" Bonomo, 90, of Clinton, Indiana, died at 3:15 a.m. Nov. 16, 2017, in Clinton, Indiana. She was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Blanford, Indiana, to Rudolph Bohinc and Agnes Roshel Bohinc.
Agnes was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clinton, Indiana, Clinton High School and graduated in 1945, was active in Democrat politics, and served on the Vermillion County Election Board for 35 years. She was a member of the Democrat Women's Club, Royal Neighbors of America (Blanford Chapter), S.N..P. J. Lodge 50 Blanford, V.F.W. Auxiliary Clinton, American Legion Auxiliary Clinton and Catholic Women's Club.
On June 8, 1946, she married Liliano Bonomo.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Liliano "Leo" Bonomo, on June 7, 2016; and son, John Lee Bonomo, on March 2, 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Veda Jo Gregory and her husband Troy of Terre Haute, Indiana; two grandsons, Jon Bonomo of Louisville, Kentucky, and Troy Nathan Gregory of Terre Haute, Indiana; a special cousin, Joan Peperak of Clinton, Indiana; and several cousins.
A prayer service will be at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at Giovanini Funeral Home, Clinton, Indiana, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Varghese Maliakkal. Entombment will be at the Roselawn Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
